I accidentally took out a student loan that I didn’t need About a year and a half ago my college notified me that $8,000 was being reimbursed to me due to an overcharge. It turns out I had accidentally checked a box that requested the maximum loan amount for my semester of grad school. So that $8,000 that didn’t really belong to me was just sitting in my checking account, mixed in with my actual money....
