I contributed to my HSA without having a HDHP early this year (I didn’t understand the rules, now I do). I’ll be changing jobs soon and enrolling in a HDHP. Am I in the clear?
I contributed to my HSA without having a HDHP early this year (I didn’t understand the rules, now I do). I’ll be changing jobs soon and enrolling in a HDHP. Am I in the clear? Will I be penalized for contributing during the months before I had a HDHP? Or will my new HDHP make the contributions acceptable? Thanks in advance.
