Why didn't TBS remain over-the-air? For those who don't know, TBS originally was an over-the-air television channel before Ted Turner made decision to pursue cable television in the 1970s. Turner Broadcasting has/had TBS, TNT, CNN, and TruTV, so why couldn't TBS have been their over-the-air station that competed with the likes of ABC, CBS, and NBC (FOX didn't arrive until the 80s)...
