Should I wait until I'm 65 to claim my pension even though I can claim it early at a reduced amount? If I claim my pension at 65 I'd get about $12K a year. I can claim it early at 50 and I'd get a reduced amount of $6K a year. Some quick math tells me if I live to 80 I'd get the same $180K no matter if I waited until I was 65 or claimed early.
