Parents need nursing home care. Does bankruptcy eliminate credit-counseling obligations? My parents, like lots of boomers, have put themselves into a financial pickle. Their assets look good enough on paper that they're considered partially responsible for the nursing home care one of them now needs. They do have 2 houses and 5 cars.
