Bad Debt Offset on 3 years old medical bill.Should I be worried? Got a call from collection agency few weeks back requesting $473.85 For a medical bill three years back. I reached out to the hospital and asked for any pending medical bills and I see balance zero but debt offset as $473.85 Is the collection agency claim genuine? What is bad debt offset? Thanks
