Are you using filters? I started in analog photography. Back then, the dictum was “A filter doesn’t add anything, it just removes something that was there”. A filter lightens its color and darkens its complement. Thus, a red filter lightens reds and darkens cyans. Ansel Adams used these to great effect to get dark skies. Now, I see people posting about using ‘filters’...
