Very confused on W4 and federal withholding after job change for one spouse I’m confused on federal income tax. I switched jobs on May 7th. My previous position until then was at $41,000 annually, hourly of $20. With my PTO payout, I “made” a total of $16,075 this year there. Total federal income tax withheld there was $1,184.
