LPT: If you are someone who enjoys doing weights, do not put clips on bars that can trap you. It may just save your life. Anything that can be dropped without touching your body, put clips on. Anything that, if dropped, WILL touch your body then don't put clips on. You want to be able to slide plates off the bar, if trapped, by tilting the bar.
