Buying a house, are the numbers reasonable? My wife and I (late 20's) are considering purchasing a single family home for $800k in the NYC suburbs. If we put 25% down, we're looking at a 30yr fixed payment of about $5000/mo including tax and insurance. We do not currently have kids, but would like to try for one or two over the next few years. We have $400k in cash in a HYSA.
