(Probably) Dumb Question: Can I write this type of fee off on my taxes? I'm a 1099 independent contractor who works through a platform where the platform itself takes a 30% cut off all the work I produce. So if a client pays $100 for something, the platform keeps $30 and gives me the rest. Can the 30% I'm losing out on be considered a business expense?
