LPT: If you’re worried about forgetting an item when you leave a place, put your keys with the item. You’ll either notice when you get ready to leave and pat your pockets, or you’ll get to your car and have to go back (hopefully not locked out at that point).

I started doing this when I’d have early morning video shoots and had to have large batteries charging overnight. Worried that my morning self would forget to grab the batteries, I started leaving my keys next to them. Worked like a charm.
