Can I start a 529 for someone else’s children? My buddy is my realtor and he is refusing commission from selling my house, 2% commission is typical here and would amount to just over $8,000. He has two young children (4 and 2 yo) that I would like to start 529s for using the money he should have taken for selling my house. Is this possible? Thank you!
