I received a check with both my name and my mother's name on it. Do we both have to go to the bank to deposit it? I have a check that is written out to me and my mother. It says: My Name & Mother's Name I thought we'd both have to go to the bank to deposit this check, but my mother thinks she doesn't have to go. She thinks she only needs to sign the back of the check, and then I can go to the bank myself to deposit it into my account. Who is correct?
