FIL just died. How much of his medical debt (and other debt) would his kids be responsible forfor. My FIL died in hospice not too long ago. His wife is currently in a nursing home. Both were/are on Medicare. They’ve always been pretty poor, and their estate’s assets are pretty much non existent. We have paid most of the funeral costs but now are getting bills for his medical debt. There may be some other bills coming as well. The question is ...
