How come some front glass is tiny compared to others?
How come some front glass is tiny compared to others? I've always wondered; let's compare the Canon RF 28mm and the older Canon EF 28mm. Both are the same aperture, older and newer technology of course, but the RF lens has the front glass element almost the size of a pinhole. How come? What's the difference and pros/cons?
