Does slab backsplash always need to be the same as the counters?
Does slab backsplash always need to be the same as the counters? For example, I am using this photo as inspiration for a kitchen reno. I plan on using black or charcoal gray leathered quartzite on the counters with similar green cabinets. Could I use marble slab similar to this picture as backsplash (maintaining the black seems too dark), or do I need to forget about slab backsplash and go with tile?
