When a U.S. citizen is stopped by U.S. Customs and has their luggage inspected and is asked about their employment and trip, what is the purpose of that? I recently traveled back to the USA and was asked about my employment and employer. I overheard one of the workers saying they are doing what the computer is telling them to input. What is the reason for this?
