LPT Request : How to handle family who won’t respect your boundaries but you can’t cut them out of your life? My parents grew up in a country and time when boundaries were not a thing because they were focused on survival. Obviously things have changed now and they respect SOME boundaries, esp my mom. My dad however, doesn’t understand and thinks that having boundaries is “disrespectful to elders” because that’s how he grew up so that’s what he expects....
