My fiance and I both opened separate 529s before we met. Is there anything to be aware of? We're working through our finances right now as we prep for marriage and we found out that we both opened 529s before we met for future children we would have. We have a combined total of around $2200. We live in CA, so unlike some other states, I don't think there are any tax benefits from having a 529 outside of education-related expenses. The...
