If it is going to take you significantly more time or effort without the tool, is that amount of time worth the money it would take to just buy or rent the tool? I’ve found over the years that trying to save money by using the wrong tool for the job is almost never worth it. The next time you have a DIY job, do your research, find the right tool for the job, and really consider how much of a pain in the ass it will be to do it without the right tool.
