Is SE Asia still worth doing if I’m only planning to go for food/chill in the city?

Is SE Asia still worth doing if I'm only planning to go for food/chill in the city? I travel mainly for food. When I go travelling by myself I prefer to do city breaks - do a bit of sightseeing, but mainly to gorge on the local cuisine.
