Is 4% return on long term investments too conservative?
Is 4% return on long term investments too conservative? I'm 31 and just doing some planning for retirement numbers. My investments are 85% total stock market and 15% international. I used to use the standard 7%, but it feels too risky when looking at the next 20 years. What's a safer percentage to use for planning purposes? Is 4% too unrealistic?
