Question about negotiating down medical debt with collection agency…
Question about negotiating down medical debt with collection agency... I called the collection agency today to pay off the debt and I was hoping I could negotiate a lower settlement. The person I spoke with said they couldn't negotiate on the price as I had health insurance at the time. Is this a legit thing? Or did they just not want to negotiate on the price? Thanks.
