Watched the first episode of True Detective and this has never happened before First off, the storyline doesn't "wow" yet because it seems pretty redundant with other narratives done before. That may change. What is amazing is the characters and dialogue. Absolutely riveting for me. And, for the first time in over 40 years of consuming media, I went back to replay select scenes multiple times to actually savor the moments....
