What happens to your 401k when you leave a company?
What happens to your 401k when you leave a company? I am in the process of leaving my current job and have around 200k in my 401k. I am 100% vested so the money is mine. My boss said that I will need to transfer it to my own plan. He didn't say much more than that. Can anyone elaborate on how this works? I really don't want to lose this money.
