Do benefit concerts with huge lineups of surprise guests still exist? I was reminded today about a concert I went to back in 2009 at the Palladium in Los Angeles called "Common and Friends". It was marketed as a benefit concert for some charity (I forget which) and there would be an unbelievable list of special guests. Surprise guest after surprise guest came out on stage.
