Is it a good idea to put $6.5k from scholarship money into Roth IRA? So I have around 30k in financial aid money and scholarships. I went to a community college and got a free ride to a top 10 public university in the U.S. for engineering. I’m 21 and just opened a Roth IRA and wanted to max out the 6.5k contribution now.
