Where is the safest place (based on your experience) you have ever traveled to? My wife and I just traveled to Dubrovnik, Croatia and were shocked at how safe we felt. Not just from mugging, but pickpockets, break-ins, etc. The streets were packed like a tin of sardines and no one was worried about getting pickpocketed or something taken from their purse.
