Best way to reset Instagram account?

Best way to reset Instagram account? I'm tired of my feed and want to make a clean slate, but unfollowing everyone I follow is too tedious. Could I, in theory, delete my account and immediately create a new one by the same name? Or is the handle locked for an X amount of time?
