A question about lenses When I initially got my 35mm analog SLR camera in the 1990s, the most popular lens combination for amateur photographers was two zoom lenses: a conventional wide angle and a tele zoom. Then, in addition to the regular 50mm f/1.8 Nikkor, I purchased a 28-70mm f/2.8-4 Sigma and a 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Sigma. I recall the 50mm being really unpopular. ...
