How do you budget for retirement with a pension? Hey all, I am guaranteed 70% of an average of my 3 highest years of pay when I turn 50. I contribute a little over 7% to this pension. It’s a state pension. I also contribute the usual 6% ish to social security as well as 4% to a 457b and the city I work for contributes 6%.
