LPT: WD40 is actually a cleaner. Any lubrication that it provides is purely incidental (and short-lived). If using WD40 to lubricate a fan, it will cause the motor to blow, instead use a silicone-based lubricant. Silicone, lithium grease or sowing machine oil is good. Many people don't realize that WD40 on a fan will jam it up, cause it to cease spinning, and if left unattended, could overheat and catch fire. WD-40 should be used to clean rust. Often it is good on door hinges after it has oxidized through the moisture in the air.
