My mortgage got transferred/sold to another company. Second time in 5 years. Why does this happen? I got a 30-year mortgage in 2007 with Citibank at 4.875%. I refinanced with no closing costs with Citibank in 2013 at 3.9% while converting it to a 20-year mortgage. Citibank sold my mortgage in 2018 to a company I never heard off - "Mr. Cooper".
