Do crop sensors do better with soft corners?
Do crop sensors do better with soft corners? Specifically: most lenses aren't perfectly sharp when wide open, and some softness towards the edges of the image is expected. But this just occurred to me: do crop sensors naturally avoid this, by not even sensing the edges of the image circle the lens projects?
