Do you like exploring new places with others, or traveling solo first to get a lay of the land? I've realized I vastly prefer exploring new lands/places first by myself so that I can see all the places I want, eat at the places I've bookmarked, and get a good sense of the area, so that my trip is "untainted/unbiased". Then if the place is good enough to revisit, I enjoy being a sort of semi-tour guide for my buddies if we go together.
