My father just got a check and doesn't have a bank account. My 72 year old father just got an inheritance for 70,000. He does not have a bank account and has zero desire to open one. He would prefer to sign the check over to me and have me deposit it into my account. Is it just as easy as that? Can we do this without any penalty?
