LPT: If your car monitor is saying you have 30 miles left to go in the tank, it’s only as good as zero once you hit a big enough hill Source: just happened to me. Broke down in someone’s driveway and he said the hill was notorious for this kind of thing happening. I’m not a mechanic but I’d imagine that all the gas flows to the back of the tank and away from the fuel pump.
