Have you ever thought "their earlier stuff is better" & then changed your mind after listening to the newer stuff? I loved early Modest Mouse and wasn't sure about the change to a more accessible sound around the "Float On" stage of their career. But now that I'm older and not so angsty, I find myself enjoying the later stuff more, especially Johnny Marr's guitar work on We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Any bands like that in your life?
