Why is my treasury bond index fund investment down? I put $1000 into a treasury bond index fund with Fidelity in September 2020. I thought the concept was it would hold close to 1:1 because it was a 'safe' investment...and I have been lazy and didn't track it. It's down 43%, so my $1000 investment is down about $437. Why? I guess I don't quite understand the logistics as to why it would be that ...
