Is charging tax on a credit card processing fee customary? The business I work for is currently using a website that includes fees (delivery fee, service fee, and credit card processing fee) in the subtotal and then the subtotal is used to calculate the state tax. They are stating that the fees have to be taxed, but that seems off. I thought the goods were the only things that needed to be taxed.
