When should I get my next CC? So I turned 18, 4 months ago and got the discover secured cc. I only use 1-5% utilization and want to get another card to increase my credit mix. When is the appropriate time to apply for another card? I keep getting mixed answers all over the internet. I hear 6 months, 12, and 24.
