Are hotels generally cheaper if you book closer to date of stay? I have a trip to New York City planned in October from a Friday-Tuesday. I’m looking at hotels in/near Manhattan including Queens and Brooklyn. Hotel prices seem to be ridiculously expensive. I was hoping to find something in a decent location for under $300 but there’s nothing. However, i was looking at prices for August 25-29 (friday-tuesday) ...
