Is it unprofessional to ask a design firm for CAD background files?
Is it unprofessional to ask a design firm for CAD background files? I am an interior designer working on a hotel remodel project. The only drawings I have are in PDF form and they are CD's (so everything is on a titleblock) I don't have the time to redraw the drawings (IE trace over the PDF). I was wondering if it is unprofessional or bad to ask the previous firm for CAD backgrounds? Also - if anyone has any go...
