How does employer provider healthcare work opposed to getting your own through the marketplace? I was recently let go from my job of 11 years suddenly, so I've been trying to put myself out in the job market again. I worked at a restaurant as a manager, and they didn't offer any kind of benefits like health insurance or 401k.
