Question on Astrophotography

Question on Astrophotography I was watching videos on how to take pictures of the stars and the milky way, and I noticed that most of the videos said that we should use a wide aperture. I was wondering why that's the case. I mean, wouldn't it be safer to use a narrow aperture to get more of the scene in focus? Shouldn't it be treated similar to shooting a landscape? Thanks...
