Given the shorter lifespan of cars in the rust belt, is it worth considering leasing instead of buying? I typically buy vehicles 8+ years old and drive them for another 6 years or so. They are almost worthless due to the rust. Last week my 02’ Ranger was totaled over a fender bender to the truck bed.
