Ijen Crater Hike - Java, Indonesia Took a ferry (pic 6) from Bali to Java for a sunrise hike at Ijen. This volcano is known for its blue flames from the sulfur gas but we didn’t see any. The hike itself was easy and majority of it was on a paved path. Made it to the summit in 2 hours. There were local miners close to the summit (pic 2) mining for sulfur at the base of the crater...
