LPT the speed at which you drive can significantly affect your gas mileage. Towed a 6x12ft trailer from Denver to Cleveland, OH. Driving 55-60mph I was getting approximately 17mpg. If I sped up to 70-75, my mpg dropped to under 12. I probably saved around $150-$200, at least 2 full tanks of gas. The trip did take significantly longer, but the trailer handled better as well.
