Is El Salvador safe? In December, my friend and I were planning to visit Guatemala for 9 days, then travel by bus to San Salvador and spend 4 days in the city and coast. We plan to fly out of San Salvador back home. Is travelling to El Salvador in December safe given the current political tension and gang violence?
